“and then came the day, when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”

This is a long overdue post but here it goes~ Couple of weeks ago my church did a live recording. This one of the shots that I got of one of my friends. There’s lots of meaning that goes behind this pic. For one, my friend had hadn’t played his cello regularly before attending our young adults group, and through the encouragement of everyone else he decided to play again. Seeing him play for this event was a sweet moment. His wife and I had known each other for years, and yet we never really knew each other until I invited them to one of other events. Beautiful talent should never go unnoticed. During that month I was really contemplating on leaving photography. I was asked to help out for this event and I did. As I looked back at this photo it reminded me that its not about me, its about capturing moments/stories like these, and who better to capture them ~

As a new year approaches I thought I’d share my photo highlights of 2012. Thank you to all friends, family even co-workers for allowing me to capture their moment(s).

I’m so behind in posts! I have been taking photos in the kitchen, I just haven’t sifted through everything. Here’s a shot that I took that I liked in B&W.

So although I’ve been taken photos I haven’t had time to upload but this is a fav from this past week. #worship event #LifeSupport
Its important to remember that worship shouldn’t be based on hearts of band members, audience, friends or family.. It should solely be hinged on your willingness to surrender..

This weekend I able able to do a food shoot. And not just any food shoot, one featuring Sri Lankan cuisine. It was quite fun, interesting, and different from anything I’ve done so far. So here’s a sneak peak….
This weekend I attended my friends wedding and it was great :). I was able to take some pics, so I thought I’d share these pics.

Every photo I take, and look back on, always reminds me of the person/subject/place, even the mood that I was in when I took it. Anyways, I was going through pictures/files and went by this one. And it reminded me of my friend who made this cupcake and said “a discussion about dessert is more like a dialogue about a painting and a sculpture, than it is about staples of our diet.” Couldn’t agree more…
